White Maeng Da kratom is grown in Indonesia. We source ours from family farms, and the kratom is ground into an ultra-fine powder before it’s pasteurized to eliminate microbes and other contaminants. This kratom comes from the white-veined leaves of certain varieties of these trees, and it’s tested for heavy metals and quality before it’s shipped out. Some people say they use White Maeng Da to replace their morning cup of coffee as a pick-me-up at the start of the day.
Native populations in Indonesia and other countries of Southeast Asia have used kratom for centuries, in rituals and for medicinal purposes. We get ours from people who take pride in growing, and preparing quality plants. Every batch is therefore high in alkaloid content, while impurities like yeast and mold are removed in the sterilization process. This white-vein kratom strain is so good that the name, Maeng Da (MD) is literally translated to mean, pimp grade. It had originated in Thailand, until sales of this plant were banned in the country. Now, it’s sourced in Indonesia.
Maeng Da leaves are a bright, dark green color. These leaves have white veins, and the powder often has a bright green hue when the dried leaves are crushed. Due to the pasteurization process, however, the color will vary. In other words, the powder is not actually white. The name is based on the color of the veins in the leaves, and not the color of the powder itself.
